Our practice can be an example of how to live in a state of grace. When we are mindful of everything we say and do, we are much more likely to live with integrity, so our actions align with our words. On the mat, we aim to move slowly and intentionally, synchronizing the breath in a dance of co-ordination that can create an internal state of easefulness and peace. Ideally, we want to develop the skill to translate this capacity off the mat and in our daily lives too. This is when we are capable of understanding that we have the power to always choose our state of being, irregardless of what is occurring in the outside world. When our foundations are strong and unshakeable, we reside firmly in the knowledge that we are grounded in our sense of Self.
